Our business is Civil Engineering and Earthmoving.  So we understand our impact on the future of the environment. 

To reduce our impact to the environment "Crew Cav" is a member of www.greenfleet.com.au who plants and maintains trees to offset our emmissions.  We try and refuel with biodiesel when it is available.

Other ways to reduce the impact is to optimise the amount of trips to site to using other forms of transport when available.  We have a lot to learn.

Short Term: Sugar Cane waste is being developed into ethanol which one day may be inject into the diesel motor.  To create a better burn and up allow up to 45% biofuel into the ute reducing the need for oil.

Long Term: The future looks like an electric motors to drive all four wheels.  This will be backup with a small petrol motor and solar panels when touring.  The technolodgy is improving and still to expessive for a vehicle this size.  An array of solar panels at the yard will allow the vehicle to recharge overnight.
